Magic Leap 1 supports ‘spatial mapping’. The device is thus able to create a 3D map of the physical environment. In this way, the Magic Leap 1 can interact with the environment. This makes the Magic Leap 1 ideal for training development, simulation and visualization of 3D objects. Connected to the Magic Leap 1 glasses is a box that supplies the headset with power and voltage. This so-called ‘lightpack’ gives the Magic Leap 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Magic Leap 1 has a high-quality display with a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels per eye. In addition, the headset has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, so images look smooth and sharp. The Magic Leap 1’s display offers a 50-degree field of view. The Magic Leap 1 comes with with 1 6 DOF controller for precise tracking movements. In addition to controller tracking, the Magic Leap 1 offers hand, voice, and eye tracking for completely hands-free control.
